Something Blue Bridal Showcase…

SBPR Fair 1
I spent a fab afternoon at this lovely event, held at One Marylebone. If you don’t know the venue, take a look…it’s a stone’s throw from Regent’s Park and a stunning mixture of contemporary styling with classic vintage detailing – original Baccarat chandeliers anyone?!

There were so many delights, I could fill a bunch of posts, but for now feast your eyes on the loveliness below and don’t forget to check out the websites of all these super-talented people…and special thanks to my good pal Claire Graham and photographer on the day, Catherine Mead for these gorgeous photos.

Something Blue promised to showcase exclusive, unseen collections and trends from their stable of clients – and they did not disappoint!  We were welcomed into a stunning lounge area created by Velvet Living and instantly surrounded by cocktails and treats from Cakes by Krisanthi. I loved the subtle pink and blue feel of the lounge and who can resist shoe shaped biscuits and cupcakes?!  If you follow my Pinterest boards you know how much I love this colour combination!

It was great to see some wedding brand favourites, particularly the new collections from Jesus Piero and twobirds, and stunning floral displays by Ruby & Grace, however the highlights for me were discovering some wonderful, new suppliers  and the amazing table scapes created especially for the event…well, you know how I love  a mood board or a fancy table!  All the tables were set up by the various exhibitors and the attention to detail was amazing….check out the photos here for inspiration. The hot pink & turquoise “Bold is Beautiful” scheme above was my favourite…..I think…aarrgghh….wait till you see the others!

Cakes

Not only did the lovely Krisanthi make all the delightful cookies & nibbles on offer, she also had one of the most stunning displays at the event.  Her creations are truly works of art and I genuinely don’t know how anyone can cut into them…although they taste amazing, so there’s your answer!

The images above show the beautiful creations from Borrowed Blue BoutiqueRuby & Grace and Idyllic Days. The vintage theme is still massively popular this year and with these stunning arrangements you can see why. Talking of which, this second table scape showcases even more lovely vintage styling. Loving the ribbons…

I practically fell in love with the collection from Naomi Neoh who unveiled a new range of soft, slim gowns featuring French lace and art deco beading.  The images don’t do the gowns justice…the feel of the sumptuous fabrics was exquisite and you can just imagine yourself floating down the aisle on a whisper of satin and lace… if the Mr would only let me get married again I would be whizzing off to their atelier right now!

Another new find for me was Illustries. I loved their range of cool,  personalised, products and the ladies behind the brand are just lovely – watch this space as I’ll be telling you a bit more about them in the not too distant future.

And finally, the third table scape, fittingly themed LoveLuxe…an opulent mix of gold, silver, crystals & mirrors….if it wasn’t so damn classy it would be blinged to the max! These gorgeous silver acrylic place names and menus were created by Cutture, an exciting new range from the lovely folks famous for their fabulous, laser cut wedding stationery.
